Hey, I really liked this. Sharon has not been one of my tutors but I had reason to speak to her recently via email and have seen her work on her website, but these videos really provide a sense of the person that I otherwise wouldn’t see. I hope this becomes a series so we see all the tutors.
Yes it really helps the learning experience to put faces to names 🙂
Enjoyed this and Sharon’s personality and commitment to her work really come through. I’ve been fortunate enough to have spent time with her in the Thames Valley group and also at Arles and she’s very inspiring. My work has certainly improved and developed from hearing her feedback.
Good to see you here Sharon.
Thanks Catherine – it’s been really nice seeing your work develop. Inspiration definitely goes both ways!
I had the chance to meet Sharon in Arles and listening to her talking about her work and how she was conceptualizing her ideas was really inspiring and motivating – I struggled before with the fact that I tend to draw my inspirations in words rather than in images, and talking with Sharon made me realize that there was maybe nothing wrong with it… That’s really great to get a chance to see her at work now with this video.
Thank you Mark and Sharon!
Thanks Stephanie, has been so nice to meet you too and I really appreciated your thoughts in Arles and beyond! Just shows that study trips are really worth while 🙂
This is very helpful for us at the far north end, and especially when I’m to start L3. I wish too that more of these will come featuring all the tutors.
Sharon’s works looks really interesting and will look into more closely in next few days. Thank you for sharing this Sharon!
Thanks Yiann
Interesting video. Project’s pictures & concept are superb – would like to see it again when completed
I had Sharon as my tutor for People and Place and really enjoyed her feedback and encouragement. So I found it very interesting to hear her talk about how she approaches her own work. Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks Susanne 🙂 Hope you are getting on well.
I really enjoyed Susannes honest approach to her subject.
Thanks for sharing, Sharon; nice for those of us who haven’t had the chance to meet you to pick up the inspiration! I’m starting to work my way through your new Body of Work Level Three module, which seems excellent – so thanks for that, too.
This video is also another demonstration of what a great team of tutors OCA is building – we’re very fortunate.
How incredibly annoying it is to have to retype an entry! Anyway here goes.
Having watched the video (more than once) I now feel I have a little insight into who ‘Sharon’ is and understand a little of your thinking. What is abundantly clear is your enthusiasm for photography and this is catching. It has been great to be able to gain this insight, especially as I am unable to attend study days and meet tutors and students alike. I certainly hope that one day during my studies, which are likely to be protracted, I will be able to come over to the UK and meet some of you.
Thank you Sharon for sharing
Nice to meet you Sharon 🙂 It’s great to see/hear a bit of your own work which looks very interesting, It’s interesting to see how you pair the words and scenes together, I look forward to seeing how you develop this project. Selina
