Study Visit: Turner Prize

As one of the UK’s most visible contemporary arts awards The Turner Prize often provokes extreme reaction – and this year’s award is no exception. Join OCA tutor Wendy McMurdo  on the 9 January in Glasgow to discuss the debates and explore the work of the 2015 nominees Assemble, Bonnie Camplin, Janice Kerbel and Nicole Wermers.

The Turner Prize, organised by Tate, is awarded to a British artist under the age of 50 for an outstanding exhibition in the preceding year. The Turner Prize introduces us to new artists and new ideas in contemporary art and previous winners include Damien Hirst, Grayson Perry and Gillian Wearing.
We will begin our day with a general tour from Tramway staff giving us an introduction to the Turner Prize 2015, and contemporary art.
To reserve your place please email enquiries@oca.ac.uk.
