Time’s short. Generally, and more specifically to get a place on our next art study visit. OCA tutor Jane Lazenby will be leading a practical study visit at York Art Gallery on the 26th March, on Dutch vanitas still life paintings.
The workshop will start with a guided tour of the exhibition and will introduce history and context of Dutch vanitas paintings before moving on to examine structure, technique, and symbolism in the works.
Participants will then compile a selection of preparatory studies/sketchbook pages and proceed to produce a final colour study of still life arrangement
