REALITY: Study Visit

Join OCA tutor Hayley Lock on Saturday 18 October at 11am to see Reality: Modern and Contemporary British Painting at The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts in Norwich.
Over 50 works will be included in this already much acclaimed exhibition and celebrates and evidences the strength and survival of British Painting made over the last sixty years.

Uncompromising and direct, the work of each artist represented retains a strong reference to the real world, ‘the stuff of life’. While, to an extent, painting has been eclipsed in recent decades by the Minimal and Conceptual movements, installation, photography and film, REALITY testifies to the survival of painting as a medium and the impact of British painting today.
REALITY contains works spanning across the 20th century to now, attempting to understand and represent the harsh realities that have concerned key British artists over decades.
