Hunters Study Visit

DC
The photograph above (Huntress With Buck) is perhaps the best known of David Chancellor’s work having won the National Portrait Gellery’s Taylor Wessing Prize in 2010, yet he has been exploring the culture of hunting in South Africa for a considerable time. His work, like the practice of hunting, provokes strong reactions – see the comments on this piece in the LA Times for a few examples. An exhibition of his work at Bradford’s Impressions Gallery provides a welcome opportunity to consider the work and we are pleased that tutor Andrew Conroy will lead a study visit to the show on Saturday 29 November.
Places are free to OCA students. To book your place please email enquiries@oca-uk.com
