Stroud Textiles Festival

Join OCA Textiles tutor Neil Musson on the 7 May in Stroud.
Now in its tenth year the Select Festival offers a feast of delights with artist-led exhibitions, lectures, workshops and the fabulous Select Trail where you can meet artists and buy and commission work. Set in the glorious Stroud Valleys there is always lots to enjoy and inspire. We will visit artist-led exhibitions in lead venues.
Studio 21 is a well-established group of textile artists that aims to challenge and support its members and to provide regular opportunities for exhibiting at a professional level. The group was formed in 1997 to develop and extend innovative techniques and to push the boundaries of traditional expectations in textile art and stitch. Studio 21 aims to produce a new body of work for exhibition bi-annually and The Sewing Machine Project is their latest venture.
Soft Engineering brings together, for the first time, the work of three inspiring textile designer makers. Having pursued separate careers in knitting and weaving, they find many common threads that have now inspired them to work together on this joint exhibition. The exhibition will be complemented by workshops and a half day seminar.
Seam collective are a contemporary textile collective based in Bath, England. Seam collective are multi disciplined artists with printers, embroiderers, knitters, weavers, dyers, fashion designers, 3D textiles, eco-designers.
