We are getting great feedback from the two day workshop in Creative Digital Photography run by Richard Maxted at city and Islington College earlier this month. One of the features of the workshops is that they are run by professionals who are specialists in their field. If you are not familiar with Richard’s work it is worth a look at his website.
Student Nicholas Bale said ‘The two days were a steep learning curve combining the use of equipment (large format camera, mains flash units, and the rest) as well as getting familiar with the process of setting up and controlling the light. I got a lot out of it.’
The next workshop is London – Location and Landscape run by James Brittain on 26-29th July.
James will explain the main principals of  location and architectural photography showing how to assess lighting requirements for a specified location shoot  then select and use appropriate equipment and materials for producing own work .You will also explore  perspective control and composition using large format camera movements  and shift lenses.
You can check out James’  work here. Enquiries about the course which costs £500 for OCA students and £600 for non-OCA students should be emailed to Terry Sims ( Terry.Sims@candi.ac.uk )
