Lovely to ‘be on the other side’ to see you as a person and artist too. Having your as a tutor I so enjoyed your professionalism, and I feel your point in taking ourselves seriously is really a core point for me too. Thanks for letting us in.

Well Rebecca, I have to say that although this stage of my journey is just about to come to an end, I really enjoyed (perhaps one of the few occasions) the personal nature of your conversation and its content. An extremely relaxed and competent reply to questions that are upper most in many students minds. This is an excellent way of communicating with students that are some distance from OCA itself. The pressures we place on ourselves to perform and comply with course regulations will always be with us but seeing you in person and hearing your thoughts have been well received by me. Well done and thank you.

Hello Robin. I am very touched by your comments and pleased my message reached you in New Zealand. I too hope we at the oca will use a fuller range of communication methods to connect with our student body : )

Thankyou Rebecca- a very useful insight into both life as a tutor and your personal creative journey and methods. Your thoughts on taking our own work seriously if we want others to, I have to say is light a light bulb moment for me! Also no more excuses about lack of space!
