I’m extremely grateful to tutor Jane Parry for drawing my attention to the learning log of Urszula Anna Jakubowicz (Ula) who is currently studying Graphic Design as part of her BA(Hons) Creative Arts. As Ula is based on Alderney I doubt that she will be attending a study day anytime soon, but it is always good to know that the OCA is reaching the parts other arts colleges can’t reach.
In particular I was drawn to this post where Ula draws on the idea of Occam’s razor to inform her choice between two competing versions of the poster above. Great work.
Jane Parry has just completed a book of recent abstract digital work which you can view online here

Excellent work; I remember the TAOP submission. She is well on the way to achieving her ambitions.
Very inspiring! Ula, congrats! Really interesting to see the work of a photography student, who is also doing other courses, and how the work may influence each other, or how you see things.
As Dewald says, very inspiring. I like the graphic simplicity of this poster and of the TAOP assignments.
Thank you all for such fantastic comments.
It sure can be a great challenge to incorporate the distance learning study with work and basic daily tasks, on top of the minimal creative opportunities that small Island like Aderney brings. Every positive feedback helps me on the way to achieve my long desired Creative Arts Degree. I am sure I will eventually get there.
Many thanks to my Tutor for recommending me for blog of the week.
