What beautiful work–it was easy on the eyes. Best of luck, Janet–it looks like you’ll go far.
Thank you Maria, it was very hard work and I honestly thought I wasn’t going to complete it within two years, but I kept going and finally finished it with 11 days to go!
Love the wasp, great colours. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Susan, I wanted the wasp to be alarming but contained (hence the border). It may have been dead, but I still didn’t trust it!
Wow. Gorgeous work and I really enjoyed the commentary which helped me see the point of sketch books a bit more!
Thanks drjoolz, yes, sketchbooks were a bit of a puzzle to me too, before I did this work. Suddenly they made sense (see reply to Jennifer below).
Wonderful work – and I really appreciate seeing some of the sketchbook work behind the final prints.
Thank you Jennifer, this was the first time I’d managed to use my sketchbook properly and work towards a conclusion. I didn’t seem to know what it for until it dawned on me to work everything out on paper instead of in my head. This revelation meant I didn’t forget what I was thinking about 10 minutes ago.
Wow, amazing – love the development from an idea to final project. Thank you for your inspiring video
Thanks, Anna Margret. (I see you are just starting a Textiles course… me too!)
The assignment 5 piece is very unsettling, and I mean that as a complement. Really inspiring to see such experimentation on level one printing.
