Study Visit: 365 Drawings
On Saturday 18 January we return to Bank Street Arts in Sheffield where tutor Bryan Eccleshall will be exhibiting his project 365 Drawings.
Bryan decided to make a drawing for every day of 2013. Each day a drawing was uploaded to a blog. Going public was an important move as it meant that there was an expectation that Bryan had to fulfill. The drawings are of overlooked parts of galleries and museums. Light switches, radiators, floorboards, seats, and stairways feature heavily. As the year progressed, some drawings have been sold. These won’t be in the show but will be replaced by Bryan, during the exhibition, with drawings of the works in their new homes. Drawings of drawings, as it were.
Bryan can be seen talking about the project in this video which featured on WeAreOCA recently.
Places are free to OCA students but likely to be in high demand, to book a place please email enquiries@oca-uk.com
If you can’t make the study visit the exhibition runs at Bank Street Arts from 8 January to 8 February.
