Photography festivals provide opportunities – opportunities to see a lot of work in a short period of time, opportunities to meet fellow students and talk about the work on display and the work you are making, opportunities to meet members of staff and tutors. The OCA has been running study visits to the Brighton Photo Biennial since 2010 and we know that it is always worth a visit. This year, Photography Programme Leader Jesse Alexander will be leading the visit and the Biennial theme is Beyond The Bias – Reshaping Image. You can read more about it here although the full programme has yet to be revealed.
The study visit will be on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October and as in previous years there will be a social on the Saturday evening and a portfolio review session on the Sunday morning. Student places are unlimited and tutors will be added to respond to the size of the group. It promises to be an interesting weekend.
