Brighton Photo Biennial
Photography festivals provide opportunities – opportunities to see a lot of work in a short period of time, opportunities to meet fellow students and talk about the work on display and the work you are making, opportunities to meet members of staff and tutors. The OCA has been running study visits to the Brighton Photo Biennial since 2010 and we know that it is always worth a visit. This year, Photography Programme Leader Jesse Alexander will be leading the visit and the Biennial theme is Beyond The Bias – Reshaping Image. You can read more about it here although the full programme has yet to be revealed.
The study visit will be on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 October and as in previous years there will be a social on the Saturday evening and a portfolio review session on the Sunday morning. Student places are unlimited and tutors will be added to respond to the size of the group. It promises to be an interesting weekend. To join us, email enquiries@oca.ac.uk to book your place.
FYI: For students staying overnight the Hilton Metropole has a health conference same weekend and as a result the Granville are getting booked up as they are getting overflow.
Have already booked and I’m looking forward to it.
If there is the student numbers I hope to see you there Catherine.
It will be nice to catch-up Russell so hope we’re a large enough group.
Me too! This was a very enjoyable weekend last time.
Have already booked. I am in the Granville where I always stay from Friday and go home Monday so if anyone wishes to meet up let me know nearer the time.
I am based in Worthing but will be coming in for the exhibition/weekend. If there are any meet-ups organised for the weekend can you let me know on Trisha515876@oca.ac.uk
Looking forward to it.

Does anyone mind being in a contact group for Brighton so we can contact each other if we are there earlier or wish to meet up?
