Wow. Well done Jodie. I can see why the work has been highlighted as the modes of presentation drives people to engage with it in a way that is more than just looking. Thought provoking.

Thanks for sharing. Two things immediately strike me—both of which I think are becoming increasingly important in how we create work for assessment. One is the movement away from the standard prints in clamshell presentation to alternate methods of presentation—not for the purpose of being ‘tricky’ or ‘different’; but a presentation mode which ties in strongly with our content and intention. Secondly, personalising our response to the briefs—making work which resonates with our personal experience or interests instead of ‘box-ticking’; and if possible exploring a theme throughout a module which ties the assignments together—as Jodie has done by exploring the area where she grew up.

Yes well done Jodie on all your Level 3 work!

Vicki makes two points that I consider particularly important, ‘not for the purpose of being ‘tricky’ or ‘different’ and ‘making work which resonates with our personal experience or interests instead of ‘box-ticking’ e.g. not making work solely on the basis that it recognisably aligns with some current popular trope in ‘fine art’ photography.

Excellent work and really illustrative of how a theme can be carried through a whole Module but differentiated by different forms of(appropriate) presentation. It makes such good viewing and I’d love to see it all ‘in the real’.

Really interesting associations of content and expression with a different form of presentation.

This is really interesting from both the consistent theme through all 5 assignments but also the emphasis on presentation as per previous comments. I cannot help feeling that we should be focusing on this aspect as early as possible in our course work and this is where cross discipline influences can be very useful here.
