  • Well done Jane!
I was very influenced by experimental drama on The Third Programme when I was in my early teens and indeed the rich drama threads on TV under the auspice of Sir Hugh Carleton Greene and the response to them by ITV.
Nowadays high points for serious single dramas are few and far between on TV, for the most part, for me, they’re soaps or action adventures promoted as a serious drama, but I still listen to radio plays everyday.
It seems to me that radio is the last bastion where authors are allowed to have a voice that speaks directly to the audience, rather than have it filtered through a format. It also has the benefit of exercising the audience’s imagination.
Keep up the good work Jane and I wish every success for you with it.

  • I thought I would listen to the clip as I listen to the radio quite alot, especially radio 4, so will be sure to listen to the drama.
This is a great inspiration to us aspiring writers on OCA courses, that one of the OCA tutors has got their work on radio. Well done!
