Free Geezers

Stuart McQuade’s short film Free Greezers from his level 1 Digital Film Production course was one of the many pieces of work which found favour with the assessors this July. Enjoy!

  • Finally we see something by Stuart!
Ah, this made me laugh (and think)…
Strange… I was wondering how you were doing just last week Stuart, hope you are well!
Congrats on assessment and the worthy mention on here!
    Dewald.

    • Excellent – lot of talent from you all – even the rabbit behaved. Great fun and most impressed with camera work. I plan to do this module next but only have documentary experience so am most interested to see your work – great

  • Excellent short movie Stuart! Really, I am impressed… Like Dewald it made me laugh and it completely captivated me. Thumbs up for the dialogs too, it worked very well!

  • Thanks Dewald and Stephanie for your positive comments.
Another thing to raise is that this was actually a joint collaboration between OCA students: it was OCA music graduate Chris Lawry who scored the film for me.

  • What fun Stuart! I wasn’t sure if you were going for assessment but looking at the results. I guess yours must be one of the higher, if not the highest score. (I was the only one in for assessment for DFP in Nov so I had no-one to compare with) I just wish I’d had the time and resources to even approach this standard of production. Very well done, you must be very pleased. What next?

  • I remember seeing this on your blog a while ago Stuart and it’s just as funny second time around. Great actors and such a surreal atmosphere. Actually, I can just imagine that kind of thing happening as well!
Congratulations on the assessment grade as well.
