Really lovely drawings. Thank you for sharing!
Interesting dialogue on what the tutors are looking for. I especially like the drawing of the playful cats.
For 2 apparently simple drawings, they are both full of atmosphere, one of movement and the other , you really feel you are standing on the bridge looking over the cold lake
Thanks for your lovely comments! I was very suprised and pleased to have my work showcased. I wasn’t going to submit the cat drawing as I thought it would be too messy but my tutor suggested it would make a good assessment piece. I struggled with the idea of what a ‘finished’ piece of work could be throughout the course and i think I’m learning now that you can loosen up and be more expressive.
Well done on a very impressive drawing. It inspires us to be loose on our drawings and just feel the moment.
Really enjoyed seeing your lovely drawings. Inspiring as I am just setting out on Drawing 1.
Good luck with the course!
I agree, the ghost marks show the cats are tussling not just sleeping on one another. I particularly like the second drawing. I am tackling part three of drawing 1 and in particular I’m finding hard to get things to recede. You can really feel the mist in your drawing. It has a loverly atmospheric quality.
Thank you, the landscape is my favourite too. This is my third attempt though i kept having to rework it to get it right, completely rubbing out the far background and redrawing it. Good luck with rest of the course!
