Interestingly enough I experienced an electronic version of a Gamelan, the Gameltron, by the artist Aaron Taylor Kuffner in NYC recently. It was commissioned to sit with the work of Louise Despont at The Drawing Center a beautiful, peaceful and a harmonius space and subsequent exhibition. Some of you may be interested in these links:

Have been listening to You tube of past performances…the Witches Drums and the atmosphere of darkness, burning fire misty or foggy not sure…I was lost then after about 10 minutes I saw and heard more guitars and lots and lots of DRUMS! The words I could now recognize and felt at ease and liked the touch of feeling free and the drums, and guitars blend in, in a kind of noise with the human voice in the distant background. I liked it. Good luck on the day. It also brought me happy lovable memories of that part of London by the river, Waterloo, and Charing Cross stations.
