Photography and the Politics of Space

In July the Brighton Photo Biennial seemed a long way off, now it is only a month away. So join us for a weekend by the seaside for our biggest study visit to date on 3 and 4 November. The visit will run from 11am on Saturday to 3.30pm on Sunday but you do not need to attend both days. And when I say join us, I mean Jose Navarro, Jesse Alexander and Sharon Boothroyd and myself.
There is a lot to see and Saturday will largely be devoted to the standard study visit fare of loking at exhibitions and discussing them over cups of tea and coffee. On Sunday the emphasis changes slightly, in addition to exhibition visits we have built in some time for discussions about student work and log books and in the afternoon we have a limited number of tickets for what promises to be a fascinating discussion between Stephen Bull, Programme Leader for Photography at UCA and Sean O’Hagan the Guardian’s Photography Correspondent.
As always with study visits, attendance is free and to book your place simply email enquiries@oca-uk.com Please specify if you are going to attend on Saturday, Sunday or both days.
