Tutor Simon Barber has an exhibition of his latest work ‘Surviving on the Edge’ at the Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead from 23 May to 3 June. Simon’s practice is highly collaborative, working with the ‘subjects’ in his work to reveal what is important to them – you can read more about how he approaches his work in this interview he did with Michael Freeman last year.

I found the book very compelling, particularly the chance to see the stories behind the headlines, and the Eden Project and Slough collaborations.
I wonder what these projects mean to the participants? One hopes they take away a greater sense of being valued and of self-worth.
