Study Visit: Memory
Following Penny’s post we would like to invite you to accompany Sharon to view and discuss the exhibition on the 6 June.
The photographs created and curated by seven OCA photography students offer points of reflection for patients of the Nutfield Orthopaedic Hospital and for the relations and friends who visit and accompany them.
‘The exhibition addresses the way by which we humans respond to the photographic image by addressing the notion of memory – the most unreliable of human functions. The camera has, since its invention, been burdened with the responsibility of being the bearer of a truth – if it was in front of the lens then its image has been recorded for posterity!’
