Join OCA textiles tutor Priscilla Jones at the Silk Museum in Macclesfield on the 6 August.
We will visit Making Space the latest exhibition from the internationally renowned 62 Group of Textile Artists. This selected exhibition of members’ work investigates spaces small and large; interior and exterior; personal and public; intimate and interstellar as part of the Macclesfield Barnaby Festival 2016.
The Silk Museum on Park Lane, Macclesfield follows the full journey through the industrial process of silk making; explore silk from the cocoon to the loom. The Museum houses our permanent exhibition which explores the properties of silk, design education, Macclesfield’s diverse textile industries, workers lives, Macclesfield Silk during the war and historic machinery – as well as hosting temporary exhibitions.
